Speaker Bios
Cary Krosinsky, Senior Vice President; Trucost
Cary Krosinsky is Senior Vice President for Trucost in North America & member of the Management team. Trucost has become the recognized global leader in providing environmental data & analysis for the Newsweek Green Rankings, as well as supply chain analysis for Sprint, Puma, the City of London, US & UK federal agencies and other global organizations.
Cary also co-edited and authored the book Sustainable Investing: the Art of Long Term Performance, and a second book, Evolutions in Sustainable Investing,: Strategies, Funds & Thought Leadership is forthcoming in December 2011 from Wiley. He teaches sustainability & investing at Columbia University's Earth Institute, as well as an MBA course at the University of Maryland Smith School of Business. He was a member of the Expert Group that helped create the UN's Principles for Responsible Investment, and has a background in management, computer programming, investor relations & data analysis.
Annie White, Manager, Research Products; Jantzi-Sustainalytics
Annie is the team leader for Sustainalytics' annual publication of leading socially responsible companies in partnership with Maclean's and Newsweek magazine. She is the global team leader for the paper and forestry, and utilities sectors. Her primary responsibility is researching the environment, social, and governance practices and performance of these companies. Annie is also responsible for researching and monitoring global standards, best practices, market trends and the changing regulatory environment. Previously, Annie managed the Toronto internship program and currently manages a team of five analysts. Prior to joining Sustainalytics, she worked as an analyst with the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, D.C. Annie received a BA in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario and a Master's degree in Development Economics from the University of Glasgow.
