Agenda
Leading Without Authority: Tools and Behaviors that Get Results
EHS professionals are often tasked with a great deal of responsibility - ensure global compliance, drive culture change, reduce company-wide resource use, to just give a few examples - but often don't have the authority to demand change or action. In the absence of authoritative power, effective leaders must use other tools to get results. Dodie Gomer shares six powerful leadership and influence tools and demonstrate how to apply them to the world of EHS leadership. Using a peer-to-peer exercise, you will have a chance to practice using these tools and will walk away from the session better able to engage and influence those around them. You will also come away with a leadership development plan to support their development cycle after the conference and a peer advisor they can reach out to for input on difficult leadership situations.
