Washington, DC, May 21, 2013 - Today NAEM Executive Director Carol Singer Neuvelt will join representatives from Curio, Prudential Insurance Co., the New York Stock Exchange for a panel discussion about external sustainability reporting.
The panel is part of the Global Reporting Initiative's (GRI) global conference, a three-day symposium in Amsterdam on promoting corporate transparency worldwide. GRI is a non-profit organization that provides companies with a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework.
"NAEM members are at the epicenter of corporate reporting," Ms. Neuvelt said.
"This conference is an opportunity for us to participate in a global conversation about the role of transparency in business."
As the largest professional community for corporate EHS and sustainability leaders, NAEM became an organizational stakeholder in GRI in 2011. Ms. Neuvelt said the relationship has helped facilitate dialogue between GRI and NAEM members, who often lead sustainability goal-setting and corporate external reporting activities.
Coming out of the conference, Ms. Neuvelt said she hopes to share the dialogue with members. On May 30, NAEM will host a webinar to give members a first look at GRI's new guidelines for external reporting.
