Founded on the principle of continuous improvement, Toyota continues to raise the bar on energy management. Since 2001 Toyota has reduced total energy consumption by 19.1% in its sales and distribution network, including an HVAC control strategy that reduced energy consumption at a Kentucky parts center by 40%! Get the details on their famous treasure hunts along with other tools that are used to support their energy program both internally and externally.

Even in large, well-managed portfolios, energy efficiency is often left to staff at individual sites. Techniques for understanding opportunity at the portfolio level are lacking. Similarly, carbon inventories are increasingly popular, but are not used to drive decision making regarding potential savings. Speaker Biographies

Bruce Bremer
Brucer Bremer is the Manager for Facility Engineering at Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America. Mr. Bremer has 21 years of Toyota experience in the energy, facility management and facility engineering discipline. Mr. Bremer started with Toyota in1988 at the Georgetown, Kentucky plant and in 1996 transferred to the newly established North America headquarters in Erlanger, Kentucky and is responsible for 14 plants across North America. Mr. Bremer’s primary responsibilities in North America are: leading the energy management program, developing standards and best practices for facility operations and maintenance, coordinating the insurance risk management program and coordinating new plant start-up for the facility area. Mr. Bremer has over 30 years of experience in the energy and facility discipline, has a BS in engineering and is a Certified Energy Manager.

Girish Menon
Girish Menon is the Director, Environment, Health and Safety for FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation. He has been with Fujifilm for 19 years in the EHS group. In his current role he manages shared services for multiple Fujifilm companies as well as works on strategic EHS issues and programs on a national and global level. He has been a NAEM member since the early 90's.
