As companies seek to design new products with defined environmental characteristics, they are looking for tools for balancing environmental characteristics in the same manner as they currently balance parameters such as performance and cost. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is one such tool, but today's LCAs are too complex and costly to integrate easily into the product design process.

APC by Schneider Electric has embarked on a program to "industrialize" LCAs -- create a life cycle tool within the product design process that can quickly and cost effectively support product designers while they are designing new products. Join us as we learn about APC by Schneider Electric's journey from Ray Lizotte, Director of the Environmental Stewardship Office.

Presentation will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with LCA and product design experts, including SolidWorks and Pure Strategies.

NAEM Introduces Excellence Awards

The National Association for Environmental Management (NAEM) will host its inaugural Excellence Awards on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the 26th Annual EHS & Sustainability Management Forum. During this award program's first year, NAEM will be presenting a Lifetime Achievement Award and six NexGen Leader Awards, thanks to supporting sponsorship by AECOM. The NAEM Excellence Awards exist to recognize and elevate leaders in the corporate EHS&S community as well as showcase best practices of EHS&S management in corporations.
